How do you change a fog light bulb on a 2007 Pontiac G5 GT? I don't know how to change the bulb on my foglight of my 2007 pontiac g5 gt. It would be a great help if you could tell me! haha

tomas replied: "reach behind the bumper and there should be part of the assembly that turns and it will pop out and you have access to the bulb."

alex p replied: "try to check it out first on auto repair shop..."

What should i do to get faster acceleration on a Pontiac G5 GT? i dont want to put anything on, for example adding a bigger intake valve i already did that. but what can i take off and replace to make the car lighter.

Scott replied: "Try a throttle body spacer and cold air intake. And i would get a pcm done. That will really open it up."

niteranger0127 replied: "maybe install a turbocharger and have headers installed all the way in your exhaust system. you could have additional horsepower up to 27%plus killer exhaust deep bass sound every time you rev 'er up."

NGAMotorsports replied: "if it is a 5speed may try a lighten flywheel, Injen cold air intake(this would help more with top end) It really depends what you wanna do with the car and how much you want to invest."

How much should I lower my Pontiac G5 GT in order to eliminate fender gap and give a aggressive stance? It's going to have 17" 215 45 17 wheels on it. Please help!

d t replied: "Don't lower it so much it can't jump a curb. If you lower too much the car will drive and ride miserable, you will have to slow down for every bump and parts will start falling off. 1 or 2 inches does wonders for the stance, usually without much trouble. Mount the new wheels first and check the clearance. You won't impress anybody if the tires grind on the fender when you turn."

Tom R replied: "Just get rims and tires that are taller don't lower it."

problems with low revving on pontiac g5 gt with aem cai.? hi, i bought a g5 gt from pontiac like almost a year ago and just after i install an aem cold air intake some problems happened. first when i just turn it on for first time of the day and i shift first (doesnt matter the gear) and going at a speed of 15 miles and accelerate like to quarter or halve the pedal, the car deccelerates instead of accelerating. if i drive the car 15 min. before stepping at the gas to quarter this problem doesnt happen. and when i am driving and i clutch it the revolutions go lower than normal, they go like to 500rpm and then they go to to normal 850. this problem gets fixed too after some 15 min driving but when i turn on the a/c both problems show again until i drive like 20 min. please somebody tell me whats happening with my car and how to fix it. should a sportschip fix this? or an ecu upgrade? because some people tell me that its because some sensor doesnt detect that i have a cold air intake and its making a wrong air/fuel mix. is this true? thanks.

biteme4455 d replied: "The best thing to do is re-install the stock intake and see if the car runs correctly. There may be a mass air sensor or some other type of sensor that has been dissconected when the new intake was installed."

I am trying to install a peformance chip in my pontiac g5 gt? I was trying to install this performance chip in my g5 and in the instructions it says I have to cut the ecu cable that goes to the sensor and put it there but the problem is that I dont know which cable coming out of the ecu is the sensor one, thank you!

Fred replied: "there should be a diagram showing what one to cut."

mrautomechanic replied: "I am a GM drivibility tech for the past 22 yrs and ASE master certified. Do what you wanna do, but all Im saying is- your asking for trouble. The next generation OBDII systems will create all sorts of problems for you. No starts, SES lights, etc. Suggest leave it alone- you want more power in a car? then buy a car thats built for speed"

InjunRAIV replied: "I'm no 'chip' guy, but I think you can do all you need to this computer without cutting any wires. All it takes is a flash of the ECM from someone who KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. Don't try this stuff at home, kiddies!"

lovethatdirtywater replied: "Cobalt SS I USED to have an Impala SS (2006) until I totaled it because I put way too many performance upgrades in it and got a little excited one night after a couple cocktails. I recently drove the Cobalt SS and it AMAZED me. It drives like it has an 8 cylinder in it. The handling is incredible, something you would expect a BMW to have, like a 330 CI. I think the Cobalt is a little less-expensive too, right? Also, I am 6'2'' and I fit in the driver's seat perfectly so its got some room for a "compact". Go for the Cobalt!! Good luck! TO THE PEOPLE WHO SAID THE COBALT SS IS THE SAME CAR AS THE G5 GT: WRONG!!!!! Do your homework. The G5 GT is built on the W platform GM uses, the Cobalt is actually a prototype Apel."

hello replied: "the cobalt SS. the Cobalt SS, if purchased with a manual transmission, has a 260 hp turbo charged 2.0l 4cyl motor with a modified sport suspension on it. the G5 GT, according to the pontiac website, has a 170 hp 2.4l naturally aspirated 4 cyl."

Munson Rocks replied: "Honestly, I've always been partial to the Cobalt SS because the Pontiac is just a rebadged Cobalt. Plus, I've heard nothing but good things about the SS. Car and Driver loves the car, which says a lot because they are very fickle about American cars. It puts up times on the track that are comparable to much more expensive cars, and it holds the road very well. It has a G force grip of .91, and anything over .9 is considered excellent, especially for a front wheel drive car. Check out the article from Motor Trend I have listed under sources. I don't think you'll be sorry you got that car. My vote is for the Cobalt."

C7S replied: "In case you do not know. These are exactly the same cars. Both are owned by GM. The Cobalt SS and G5 GT use the same engines, chassis, suspension, everything. Only differences are the lights, grills, badges, and slight differences in bumpers. I would get the Pontiac because there is less of them so they are less common. Too many people buy Chevy Cobalt SS."

emiller1998 replied: "Its the exact same car except a few body panels and its built in the same plant. Both have the same 173 hp 2.4L I4 with a 4 speed auto (both are mislabeled in their descriptions). I'd get the Pontiac because I like the blue. love - The W body was a FWD midsized car. That was used for the Grand Prix, Impala, Monte Carlo, several Oldsmobiles and Buicks. The G5, Cobalt, Saturn Ion, Opel Astra, and HHR are all built on the Delta FWD compact platform."

Whats the difference b/t the Pontiac g5 and Pontiac g5 gt? I know the gt is better but why?

ViperAcr replied: "It has more power because it is a V6 rather then the Pontiac G5 which I think is a 4 cylinder"

I have a 2008 Pontiac G5 GT and i want to get neon lights under it? I know that the front and back are 58 inches long and the sides are 103 inches how long should the neon lights be so its a good fit and any places that sell them for a decent price?

Texas granny turtle replied: "To avoid tickets and cost of removal, check if legal in your area. Ask several shops or call the Non Emerg Police dept number."

Charlie replied: "Check ebay, I got Led's for my Grand Prix for $10, but it was $60 after shipping. Led's last a looooooooooot longer and more functions."

Aaron replied: "your screwed dude just save gas and call it off"

Kelsey W replied: "get a corvette! if you have $176,000"

Sophie B replied: "in a drag race, you can't beat him, unless he can't drive...."

Mark replied: "I'd go for the title to keep it interesting. You may lose. But that way it's real. Instead of asking us questions we can't answer."

Daisyjo replied: "dude his camaro has got you. you have no chance"

vipassana replied: "Not worth your time, you are will get left behind. Now if you owned a G6 GTP or a cobalt ss you might have a chance"

sphinx replied: "only one way to find out."

ls1bird replied: "its a drivers race. camaro may have more power, but is a lot more heavier."
