Toyota Matrix vs. Pontiac Vibe vs. Dodge Caliber? Looking for a used car 2005-2007. narrowed the choice down to these three models. Looking for the best car for my money. Any advice ? Recommend any similar models ?

smallnoggin replied: "My mom drives the Vibe, she had a 2003, now she has a 2006, both models are nice, drives like a little sports car, very comfortable, nice sound system. the only bad thing is visability through the back windshield is very poor. other than that, great car!"

mccoyblues replied: "The Toyota Matrix and the Pontiac Vibe are identical cars. They roll of the same assembly line. However the Pontiac for some unknown reason is priced higher than the Toyota. Either car would be better than the Caliber. If you're looking for a small sport hatchback don't overlook the Mazda3. The Mazda3 has received consistently high scores in every review."

harrimanjohn replied: "Matrix and Vibe aren't made on the same assembly line (Vibe @ NUMMI in Fremont, CA and the Matrix @ TMMC in Cambridge, Ontario) but they are pretty much identical. Interior was designed by GM while the vehicle was engineered by Toyota. I would suggest either the Matrix or Vibe; choose whichever styling you like better or whichever has a better price. I would stay away from the Caliber."

Dodge Caliber vs. Pontiac vibe? used that is? lookign to buy a used car. Any suggestions between the caliber and the vibe .... positive and negative. thanks.

Gavin C replied: "I don't know much about the caliber but haven't heard anything bad my friend has a Vibe with almost 200,000 miles on it its been a great car."

GEEGEE replied: "I've driven both and much prefer the Vibe. The Caliber (which I drove for 9 days as a rental) had blind spots that were amazing- no matter how I adjusted the mirrors, visability was awful. I absolutely hated it!"

lostinamerica replied: "The Vibe: Better reliability (joint venture w/ Toyota). Better fuel economy. Better residual value. The only way I'd buy the Dodge over the Pontiac would be if they made me a much better (several thousand dollars) deal. Good luck with whatever you purchase!"

dodge man replied: "the Pontiac vibe is a better vehicle between those two and it will get better gas mileage than the caliber will ,i have drove both vehicles before and either one will make you a good vehicle, the vibe just seems to give less problems ,good luck."

krispyfry023 replied: "i got a used caliber and i love it i get great gas millage i have an uncle that owned a vibe and he hated it he had lots of problems (also caliber is kinda like the old neons) like i could put the srt4 neon turbo into my sxt if i wanted to (i will) take test drives but i say get the caliber it kicks ass!!!!!!"
